The Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) founded in 1980 is the largest dedicated professional body for accounting technicians working in industry, commerce and the public sector worldwide.  The AAT is sponsored by four of the main UK chartered accountancy bodies:

The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW)

The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)

The Institiute of Chartered Accountants of scotland (ICAS)

AAT Members licenced as a Members in Practice under the AAT’s mandatory scheme for the regulation of Members in Practe can provide accounting, financial, taxation and consultancy services to individual and business clients.
